Is this the grand finale? Never seen so many in one place. I recognize the Rice paper butterfly but not the others. Nice capture Jim.

I don't know what I prefer the most, the rotting bananas or the Butterflies. ;o)
That's quite a unique capture maestro.

That's gotta be the most bananaflies I've ever seen, Jimbo. Now I know why I ain't had no banana bread in a while. Them damn bananaflies ate all the bananas. Great capture and post.

Well at least we know they are not picking at the bones. I haven't seen that many butterflies since Madame Butterfly took 24 curtain calls. I guess we know what you had for the blue plate special. Good, but highly unusual post JimboB.

You made me wonder, while looking at 19 butterflys eating four slices of banana, do they fight? Are they a species that comes to blows over food or territory? Oh well, Jimbob, I guess I will never know but you made me think about it!!

You should have made this Butterfly Nineteen! I've got some old black bananas in my fridge. I'll give them to the butterflies now that I know what to do with them besides make banana bread.

I saw butterflies doing this at the Natural History Museum - they have a temporary butterfly house in a big tent outside. Disappointing to see such beautiful creatures feasting on rotten fruit. Well captured Jim!
