A natural and beautiful scene! Whatever effect you put on it really makes it seem like I can reach out and touch that fence and gate!!! Love that sky Jim! Faved!

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Nice image Jimbob. I can imagine a horse and cart coming in through that gate any moment now. Great colours and an "active" sky add to the beauty of this scene.
I guess you can leave the gate open as long as you close the barn door, Jimbo. You did remember to close the barn door??
I agree with Joanie. A beautiful well captured scene. You sure you closed that barn door ??? Great post
So simple yet so intriguing!! Nice post, and the gate is cool as well, (that's a joke son, that's a joke)!! Very interesting shading. Love those clouds as well. This draws one in and makes you stay for a while!! Cool work Jim and the framing is perfect as well!:)

It's very wise of you Jimbob to leave out the narrative. The imagination has now to do its own work, and it will be different story for everyone.
Great post my friend!
Regards, Cornelius.
Yes carrying on from Cornielius's comments, my thoughts were, 'when was the herd of cattle going to stampede through after they realise someone has left the gate open'!!! ha ha Lovely light, colour and clarity in this and also very well presented. Well done!

Reminds me very much of one of Owd Timers posts. That is as good of a compliment I can give you on this beauty. Looks like you upped the FDR a bit. Looks great.
Very nice Jim, the greens aren't quite natural but they look great against that grey sky. Love the perspective, wish there weren't the bits of bush bottom left. Very cool idea for a shot, very ordinary but very striking.
This kinda of reminds me of a couple of places, I use to visit as a kid. We were always getting into trouble for leaving the gates open. LOL. another fine capture, my friend. Lyn.
I like these photos of yours a lot Jim. They remind me of old postcards. The muted colors look great. I also like the simplicity of this composition. Very well done!
Hey Jimbo!! This is so delicate and peaceful. You must have felt good being here to take this photo. Sometimes being alone and enjoying a scene is just the best isn't it?!! Veren
