A very well composed picture Jim. Nice contrast against the red barn and the white snow, and the trees with their dark branches against the dramatic sky. Very well done!

Those clouds look a little dangerous. Getting much snow today? I love the detail in this picture, especially in the woods of the barn and the surrounding trees.
A 1o in the VB for it's composition, beautiful colors and dramatic sky! All topped off by a great framing job Jimbob! Those trees frame that barn nicely and the bed contrast beautifully with the white snow! :)Ami
Wow, barns just have so much character. One can't help but wonder what animals and other things used to live there. And how old it is and who lived near it. I love the weathered look of this one, and then set against that drama filled sky, you took a fantastic photo my friend!! Then to top it all off, the way the snow is just laying against the old barn...just totally lovely!! Verena
---Pretty typical in my part of the country, Ohio.---
As far as I know, is this type of barn unknown in my part of the world Jimbob.
Love the composition and the wonderful colors in it. Well done mate.
Regards, Cornelius.
I didn't have enough time to leave messages for all my Caedes-friends' posts in the last few weeks. So now I only write this comment on the BEST pics. This is one of them.
It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.
WOW, Jim! I love this. The colors of the barn and the contrast of the sky are just beautiful. I hit fave on this as soon as I saw it, before viewing in full size. No regrets. Great shot.
Very beautiful setting Jimbo:) I like that drama of gathering clouds.
