Jimbob, reading the comment of Gael above, think it's just a matter of taste.
To me it's a great image, perfectly framed. The choice for B&W is a proper choice as well, as it makes the cold circurmstances even colder.
Very good work mate!
Regards, Cornelius.
I bet your post work skills have changed over the past two years, too. You talent has only been enhanced with the knowledge gained by doing and experimenting. With or without the frame, it is a terrific picture, Jimbob.
It is a very nice winter photo,Jim,very good quality, the black and white is very good, the frame is nice.I do not see what is wrong with the frame,it is a question of taste.
I think it is a beautiful winter scene and the fallen tree adds character to this shot!! Again Jimbo....another terrific post from a very talented artist:))
Fantastic shot; if gael is talking about the framing border, I would agree with him as well. It distracts from the beauty from the picture; and like others have said it is a taste issue. What remains undisputable though is the beautiful B&W that you have shared.
I didn't have enough time to leave messages for all my Caedes-friends' posts in the last few weeks. So now I only write this comment on the BEST pics. This is one of them.
It is known that there is an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the product of a deranged imagination.
* Owing to the deterioration in my hands, I find that I cannot comment as much as I should..But please know...I do look at all your posts!..and will leave my 'moniker' >OB< when I do so!...Thank you all *

Very good shot of a cold and Freezing (Brrrr) winter scene, Jimbob. The details are so clear and they make one shiver and admire the photo at the same time.
Always enjoy your photos from Wolf Creek, some of my favorites. I like the B/W version very much. I hate that the fallen tree is gone. Excellent work! Saved.
Hi Jim. Nice scenery. Plenty for the eye to wander on. A bit lacking in mid-tone contrast, though.. would have preferred to see this a bit punchier, and perhaps a slightly lighter hand on the sharpening tool.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
