Another great shot of this fascinating town, Jim. I can't help admiring the neatness of the brickwork - apart from one little spot on the lower-left of the door - uneven and far too heavy on the mortar. I suppose that's when the master went to lunch and the apprentice took over ;~}
Thought at first sight that it was erected in 1376. For several reasons an impossibility. After cleaning my spectacles (lol), saw that it was erected in 1876. It's still in a pretty good condition. Love the textures and tones in this one, Jimbob.
Good post processing work again!
Regards, Cornelius.
What a bright red colour on those bricks! Is that a warning sign of what to expect? lol...I just really enjoy the contrast of the brick and that gorgeous wooden door.I also love how the 'arch' touches are above the windows. Nice photo hun!! *verena*
Yes...very bright colors on the bricks! So much so that you can see them thru spots of the trees in front of the building! I also love the color of the doors once again. Great shot!
Texture, colours and the atmosphere - quite special Fire beneath Placid Surface [this is my view - so please forgive me if this is completely wrong or in conflict with anybody else's feelings].
BTW
These days I have been forced to learn the destructive power of "polical correctness' or rather the lack of it...
Wonderful close-up view of this red brick structure. Love that double wooden door. Nicely balanced with the green shrubs on each side too. Very well done Jim.
