Think you better can delete 'me thinks', Jimbob. It will make it possible for me to agree with the rest of your narrative, lol.
Great one again.

If there is anything that falls under a shortcoming, and to tell the truth I am not sure here myself ... perhaps, a tad oversharpened?
If when and during resizing, a suggestion ... that being, experiment with the different settings/options typically available to 'you' (speaking generally here). And don't opt for more of, simply put.
Some more food for thought for you on this note, and if applicable:
That said, very good colour. Quite natural. And with the benefit of some knowledge provided by Garrett on one of his images of a hummingbird, I believe ... I suspect that the iridescence of the peacock's chest feathers is going to be slightly ... slightly, problematic in any case.
Me?
Might have been tempted to make a selection of that area, and then ... lower the saturation of the blues/greens. Just to see if you could bring out a tad more detail.
I did say that this was a good good shot, I trust?

Oh wow, how gorgeous and perfect Jim! Excellent composition and such beautiful color! The clarity is perfect to me, but from the sounds of its, it looks like Les has a few words on everything!...lol...I love it the way it is!

Well, methinx so also Jimbo!! I love that your didn't do a straight on forward looking shot, but instead did a slight angle, I love seeing the little curve at the bottom right of his gorgeous feathers. And as you know bloo is my colour in life and this cobalt bloo is just awesome! You took a most beautiful photo of this great old birdie. Verena
Yes it is a truly beautifully feathered peacock. The feathers are simply simply beautiful and awesome to look at. Great closeup capture of this magnificent bird, Bob.
