Kinda looks like a pancake to me. Believe me though, I didn't try eating it. LOL. Another one shot with the Sigma 70-300 on a tripod. It's not a new lens, I just never used it much.

Thanks for the comments, friends.

May I ask you something? Do you like to eat? Much? Because all your comments are about food. LOL My comment would be, it's like some kind of an ornament, something I'd like to have at home. And, I like this shot very much.

Posted a rather similar image in the past. Therefore I know that ants are fond of it. So think it over (for other reasons as well) before you are eating this 'pancake'.
Agree with Owd Bob's comment Jimbob!

It looks like a rather tasty breakfast - lightly fried in butter and covered in maple syrup. Yum Yum. Lovely shot!

Jim, I like the composition, and the focus is very good. I have nothing to offer to make it better. I hope you will start using that lens a bit more, I like the results. Tigs♥ =^..^=

I'd like to see a real one like that, but we got the next best thing to it, and so well done. I too would like to see more from this little used lens, now that we are sure you know how to use it. Excellent, and especially without syrup on it.

Funny how a subject as still as a fungus still needs the help of a tripod to capture all its details.

Great find Jim.
