Unless you are in a boat, or walk the breakwater, you aren't going to get any closer to this lighthouse in Ashtabula Ohio, on Lake Erie. I tried walking closer, but I started getting splashed by waves coming over the wall. I don't mind getting wet, but not while using the camera.

I was walking on rock just like this to take a lighthouse picture today an fell on my hind side. All most went into Lake Erie. But a saved my camera and only hurt my pride. Nice picture storm picture. Clouds look very threatening. I hope to post my LH pix tomorrow.

Hello Jim....I have to say that this is the best lighthouse picture I have seen for a very long time....The colours of the foilage and the dark rocks is a fantastic lead in to the lighthouse....You have to go to the top of the class with this one...Well done....All the very best to you Jim....................................................Mick.

There is not much to add in all the praises of your image. Jim. But I try. Very good composition, with a beautiful line in the picture. The light is very good, and waves lapping up against the rocks makes the picture dramatically. In other words, an excellent picture Jim.
