The mottled lighting and sharp focus make this an attractive scene. I also like the realistic look of the falling water. I never did care for the blurred effect of some waterfall photos where the water looks like falling smoke. This is unmistakably water. Having some green on both sides adds an agreeable balance.
You catched a very beautiful frame. I think, maybe if there is motion efect on the water, photo would be more succesfull but still your presentation is beautiful. Good job!
Man's heart away from nature becomes hard. ~Standing Bear I believe in God, only I spell it "Nature". ~Frank Lloyd Wright, quoted, 14 August 1966 With innovation and technology, seems we have forgotten to cherish the true beauty the world has to offer. ~A.C. Van Cherub
You will find that my critiques tend to ramble aimlessly although I have been known to make a valid point on every 30th critique. I am not a wordsmith like Ed, who is probably the reincarnation of Ernest Hemingway. But I'll get to the point eventually. You'll find that I rarely say, "Lovely presentation" and leave it at that. I might not know how to take a photograph. I might not know how to write a decent critique, but you'll find I always have something to say whether it's relevant or not.
Now to your posting. I'm gonna have some difficulty finding anything to critique. Your post photo work is glorious. I love the composition, the colors, the exposure time on the falls, the textures in the rocks. You seem to have highlighted the greens in your shot which is at a skill level well beyond my limited knowledge. If I saw this in the VB, I'd give it a 9.473. Stunningly beautiful posting.
This is in a zoo? Beautiful, but pity it's in a zoo, I don't like them. I'll pretend that I don't know that and I'll enjoy watching it. LOL Great shot, Jim.
