This was shot at the Toledo Zoo yesterday. He was making quite a fuss. The dark background is almost completely natural. I only cloned out a few spots I didn't like.
He was making a spectacle of himself so you'd notice and take his pic. You sure did get him nice and close and detailed with a great dof. Good work on this one.
What a fantastic shot, Jim. Can I borrow your telephoto lens? I promise to return it on the 2nd Tuesday of next week. I feel so close to this guy that I'm really nervous sitting at my desk right now with this trout in my pocket. Technically nearly flawless. Never knowing my proper boundaries, I probably would have cropped this shot even more and removed maybe 37% of the negative space. A solid 8 out of 10. No complaints. Brilliant precision in your focus and sharpness.
