It looks great after the long flight JimboB. It has heard our immigration laws are lax. It probably crossed at the Texas border. Either that or his woman put knots on his head and he lit out for bluer ponds. Excellent.
Man's heart away from nature becomes hard. ~Standing Bear ***** I believe in God, only I spell it "Nature" ~Frank Lloyd Wright, quoted, 14 August 1966 **** With innovation and technology, seems we have forgotten to cherish the true beauty the world has to offer. ~A.C. Van Cherub
What it was doing in Ohio? Well, everybody likes to go to America, why are so surprised? LOL. Poor bird, I hope that "lump" doesn't make problems. Very good close up, Jim.
I don't know, Jim. We have a goose just like this in our local lake, and he speaks perfect English.

P.S. I agree with the superlatives noted above and can't find a single thing wrong with your shot. If you keep posting beauties like this, how am I supposed to write a critique listing the flaws.
Hello Jim....A beauty....This is a superb closeup showing great detail and colour....By photographing the head of your subject it makes a brilliant portrait....Well done....All the very best to you Jim...............Mick.
I had a great laugh reading all the comments !!!! Not bad this sparrer [pronunciation by Mary Poppins and the name given to all the birds she meets]. I wonder what reminds Nessa about the guinea pig - pehaps the eyes or the collar ... LOL Yours SAM
I was thinking the same thing as marcaribe- weird bump on the forehead. It almost looks like a 3rd eye. It is a very nice photo of a very off looking bird.
