The canal ends at the entrance to Providence Metropark, so just before they reach the end, they have to turn the boat around and head back towards Ludwig Mill, then through Lock #44, and on to the boarding area.
An interesting and good picture Jim. It reminds me of the Gota Canal in Sweden. A hand-dug canal that began in the early 1800th Passing through the lake system and connects the western and eastern side of the country. During the season touring shows you how to use oxen to pull canal boats. Christer
1) First of all, Jimbob, I agree with TicK about the scene from "How The West Was Won". One of my favorite movies as a kid. I actually sat through it twice in a row.
2) I see that Frank got a break from his view behind the mules; so I'm happy as can be for him.
3) Still not crazy about the revealing outfits on those foxy chicks.
4) Excellent posting one again. Technically I find nothing out of whack. Great colors, excellent balance and composition, fine focus. Throw me a bone, would ya, Jim. Submit something really bad. I'm running out of nice words. I rarely get to use words like trash, horrible and rubbish.
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
I am glad you captured this one Jim. I never would have believed they could have gotten that long boat turned around in that narrow canal. The depth is so good I swear I could have seen a mule move.
Jimbob, when one has patience, seems to be wonderful to 'travel' with this boat. Your series gives a very good impression about the time that time wasn't that important. Thanks for another wonderful capture in this series, mate. Regards, Cornelius.
