This is for Tick, who wanted to see a wider shot of THIS. The long piece of wood in the foreground, is one of the levers to open the wicket gate for the lock that the boat goes through. You will see the wicket gate in another post.

Very nice capture, interesting bridge. I hope the mill is not a problem in this calm area.

Thanks JimboB for giving us this view. I like it very much. I would have never guessed there was a road on the other side. You previous shots hid it so very well. A road, a canal and a path--so many ways to enjoy this beauty .

TicK did good and so did you, not necessarily in that order, Jim. This one is my favorite of the bunch although I might have been inclined to clone out the highway, but that's just me. The wide angle works great, but I have to admit that I miss Frank, his mules and especially Helga. If you see them, tell 'em I said "Hi".

Outstanding photography here JB!!!!! Nice wide view and I just love seeing how the countryside looks like way over "there". The large piece of lumber in the forefront,is that for opening the gate just out of view? I noticed that the fulcrum that it rests upon is bolted with a metal strap to the stonework. How cool is that?? Awesome as usual with super crisp colors and contrast. Wonderful scene JB:)
