The next time I am at this place, I am going to have to check out the barrels, and see what is in them...if anything. This is Kimble's Landing. I have now shown you almost every inch of the area by the canal. Only a few more shots to go, of this, that, and the other thing.

I thought moonshine, but I suppose that Richie may be right, because he can 'determine' the kind of whiskey better by smelling its 'fragrance', lol.

Beautiful one again, Jimbob, I'm curious for the last ones to come.

Regards, Cornelius.

Certainly appears to be a well kept and clean park. The people working there do a good job and you do a great job of capturing what is there and what goes on. You put the HDR to good use and in a very fine way in all of these images, Jimbob. Each shot has been a pleasure. I'm going to go with air or rain water on the contents of the barrels.

In Pigeon Forge Tennessee you can now buy moonshine....so much for the legends of good "shine" in these parts:( Nice shot Jim!

Hey, Jimbob...

This is a wonderfully composed posting, but it's way down my list for a couple of reasons. Primarily you've introduced the modern world into this very special universe. If I want to see gazebos and posters, I'll head down to my local park. The menagerie of doohickeys and whatsits (like the barrels) that make this a special park are afterthoughts in this shot. I guess I would describe this posting as a very good but common park shot. Probably a 5.6 out of 10.

Just as long as someone doesn't get you over a barrel, you will be alright JimboB. You have made this trip so enjoyable.

The barrels are full of sand so that nobody gets the idea to take one home, Jimbob. But it won't be a bad idea to call CSI - just in case!!!! Nice shot of Kimble's Landing.

A pleasant scene & I can't help looking at the wooden barrels again. A local saw mill makes the staves primarily out of white oak for these wooden barrels & the staves are shipped throughout the US as well as other countries. The saw / stave mill has been in business since 1957. Those barrels could have originated in Southeastern Minnesota ... well the stave part.

I like the light / shadow play. Wonderful capture, Jim.
