....I used to go fishing when I was a kid. Most of my memories are of going with my Grandfather, though. I still remember catching my first fish..a small Bluegill, and it was with a plastic toy fishing rod and reel that was only about three feet long, if that. Those were the days. .......This was taken at Pearson Metropark in Oregon, Ohio. The water in the pond is always a beautiful blue green color.

When I was a kid a pole was made from a limb, string and hook were attached and a red/white bobber let me know if I had a bit. I can't imagine having all this equipment. Kids fishing is as relaxing as it gets. Nice depiction, JimboB.

Those kids look like they are having a great time and I can understand it brings out memories. My father used to take me fishing and we used poles like the one Tick used. Those were the days :-)

I'll bet that fishing pole was only a foot and a half, but you were so little yourself, it just seemed 3 feet long. I like this image. It's different, it tells a story and it is done well. Love the color of that water.

Great shot Jim!! My husband would take our kids and their friends fishing all the time. Those boys are 18 now and still go fishing together. Many a bond are formed on the river banks:)
