How sweet. Looks like the fellows in my nest, but I haven't been able to get close enough to them for another shot. Wonderful sharpness in the shot and I like the sky reflection in the bird bath.
After this sentence I will not be using the "C" word (cute) to describe this shot since it's been duly noted above. Additionally I will not use the word sweet. I will leave that sort of language to the folks who have menstrual cycles. My comments will be quite manly and even macho.
Jimbob, this is one of the best close up postings I've seen on Caedes. The detail, clarity and sharpness are astonishing. I think I can see your reflection in the bird's eye. The DoF might be a tinge of the shallow side as the focus in the breast area is not as sharp. I dream of taking shots this perfect. Your bird shots from the Toledo Zoo have nothing on this. 9 out of 10.

P.S. I need some unsweetened iced tea after injuring my cuticle acutely while listening to the Nutcracker Suite.
Excellent clear details in this close up. What a face! A treat to see a baby, don't think I have... I've noticed that the juvenile birds seem more trusting... I think their survival training isn't yet complete... My grandaddy used to tell me some animal parents will abandon their young if we (humans) came too close or got our scent on them. : )
