Excellent shot of the old boy JimboB. Looks like it could stand a coat of paint so it will last even longer. I liked the interesting article as well. You are full of uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh information. Good post.
My favorite part of this posting is the fact that you saw no reason to clone out the graffiti. I'm not sure what sort of mindset it takes to spray paint a bunch of crap on this beautiful bridge, but that's another story entirely. A beautifully composed shot, and I sure do like the trees in your shots.
Well that's a bit of interesting information about the wooden bridges. Hmm, my sister-in-law married a Burr. I wonder if he knows anything about bridges. Needless to say this is a fantastic shot, Jimbob. You just get better and better. I love that there is no clutter around like power lines and stuff and we can see clear through to the other side. Great post.
I love the old covered bridges, and this one sure has a wonderful weathered look. Very well done, but then I do not expect anything less coming from you. Tigs♥ =^..^=
Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
Jim They covered them here because too many horses were breaking there legs when they slipped on the algae covered slick wood. So they covered them to keep out the rain. This is a beautiful old bridge! That is the perfect old barn red color for this old bridge. Great shot
Good post.
