My Mom passed away this afternoon at the nursing home that she had been in for a little over a year. She was one month short of her 88th birthday. This picture is from one year ago. She was a woman of faith, a fabulous Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She will be missed by myself, and all her family, and those that knew her. I love you, Mom.

JimboB, I am so sorry for your sorrow and the loss of your mother. They are our best friend along with being our mother.
We just talked the other day about the sales of our mom's houses, both being in a nursing home and about the same age. My mother is 87.
It is easy to see she was a great mother from the respect you show all of us. You are in my prayers and may your Mom rest in peace.

If I recall correctly, you posted a pic of your mom some time back. Your mom sure looks good in this photo, Jimbob. I am blessed to still have my mom around. She is 82, but I know that I won't always have her so I try to cherish the days I can be with her and help her with her worries and her problems.
The love of a mother is without comparison and certainly Paradise lies at the foot of our mothers. May God bless her and take her to heaven and may He grant you peace and love until you both meet again.

I am sorry, Jim, I know how it feels, I've been there. Mother is the most precious woman, caring, wonderful. I am really glad you made this tribute for her, I know she deserves. Jim I am so sorry to hear of your mothers passing. Isaiah 49:15, I will not forget you, I have carved you in the palm of my hand. I still have this post Jim and it still touches my heart and with your mother's faith you know she is with God. You are lucky, Jim, to have had her for 61+ years, and for her to be someone who you obviously cherished. I'd bet even money she felt the same way about you. I say lucky because not everyone gets this sort of love in their life. As Diane says, I didn't know your mom but it sounds like she was the exact opposite of my own. So I know that it takes a special person to have such a positive influence on someone else, and now that it seems her spirit is gone, it really isn't. It survives in you and all those whose personalities she helped to shape, as well as all the memories you have of her. But it doesn't stop there; special people create a bond and character in their siblings and children who then pass it on to successive generations, one after another, in stories and examples of their good character. Your mom's alive, Jim, in you and all those who follow you.
