I guess I'm late again, Jimbob. When I was a younger man, the phrase "I'm late" would send chills down my spine and make me want to run for the hills. Now the meaning is more of an apology since half of Caedes has already stated their opinion of your image.
My opinion is that your photo is perfect. It has that inescapable Jimbobesque look to it. The colors, focus, composition are spot on. One additional thing I love about this posting is that it's not a butterfly or a flower.

P.S. I had never heard the term blockhouse before. At first the Three Stooges and the term blockhead came to mind. Man, I need to either cut back or boost my meds.
I'd love to see the stairs inside this place. I wonder why the top was bigger than the bottom, but this seems classic like a fort in the old west. Nicely done with post work as always, Jimbob.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Your wooden architectuur is perfectly in balance and in a great composition. Would love to see architecture like yours with my own eyes. Take care my friend! Mich
Now that's a fabulous capture and really unique Block House. We had a barn shaped like a old fort and part of the tack room was the lower level of the Block House. Brings back great memories for me.
Very nicely composed. I enjoy the angle of your perspective. Textures, details, colors add so much to the photo. I also enjoy all the various linear features throughout. Looks like a wonderful place to explore.
