Jimbob, I do suppose that you have disturbed it while doing a nap. Think it will be more cute and adorable after its visit to a 'snip & clip', lol. Nice image, with a 'smile', my friend.
What an odd looking creature! He looks like a tired old person. I handled a sloth in Cartagena but never saw one of these. Quite interesting. The pic is revealing and crisp.
Either the bear is wearing it's new wild & zany winter coat or it's just having one of those bad hair days. A fun capture, Jim ... gave me a big smile. :-) Wonderful work.
Jimbob...this looks like a cross between a badger and a porcupine. Someone on Facebook posted a shot of Cindy "cynlee". When I commented on the shot, she protested that she hadn't even combed her hair before the photo was taken. Since everyone who saw the picture knew that she hadn't combed her hair, it wasn't necessary for her to point out that she hadn't combed her hair since she looked like she had washed her hair in Vaseline and then slept on it. But I was my usual polite self and didn't say a thing. This shot has a remarkable resemblance to that shot.
My wife would say this is me when I wake up in the morning and she wouldn't be exaggerating by much at all. Very interesting critter - thanks for sharing this horror with us - :)
I have seen these in zoos and they always amaze me. A very good capture. You must have waited along time for this one because all of the ones I see are asleep.
In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~
Too early for winter hibernation but I suppose he has 40 winks in the afternoon and was woken up by the photographer. Nice and clear shot of this unusual bear Jimbob.
Nice image, with a 'smile', my friend.
Regards, Cornelius.
