Didn't know that Cranes could have different colored eyes, like in the human world, Jimbob. Like to agree with Milka. Think to see by their attitude that they have an appointment, lol.
Is that like mademoiselle? I see one here along with a monsieur too. He has to be the one with the red eye. Probably stays up too late at night not wanting to mess up his fine hairdo. Quite a lovely pair, Jimbob. I like the fact that you have captured him so clearly, letting his significant other fuzz out just as they do in the animal kindom to protect the species.
Nice "layering" in the DOF and great detail on the male in the foreground - of course the male is always the pretty or handsome one - it's pretty much that way every time. Oops - I'll be in trouble for that comment -;)
In your light I learn how to love. In your beauty, how to make poems. You dance inside my chest, where no one sees you, but sometimes I do, and that sight becomes this art. ~Rumi~
I have nightmares featuring that eye. Holy sh*t!! That is one freaky looking eyeball. The rest of the shot seems to be background, Jimbob. I'm not sure if Mother Nature played a nasty trick or bestowed a grand gift on this bird. Gives me the willies. If I'm ever in Toledo, I know where my first stop will be. That is one amazing zoo. Gloriously detailed shot of this French vampire.
