Is that a baby giraffe he seems kinda small At least they are doing something funny or interesting during your visit. When I go to the Zoo most of the animals are sleeping away dead to the world..cute pic JB!

Neat shot Jim. Reminds me of some of the baseball players with their big old wads of chew in their cheeks.

Don't blame the giraffe, Jimbob, because it has a reason to do so, LOL.

Thanks for the cute image and the smile mate. Very appreciated on this grey and rainy day here.

Regards, Cornelius.

It is only the tip of the tongue Jimbob - so he/she sort of likes you. If that big tongue is fully extended then the giraffe hates you. LOL!Nice and clear take - also I like the expression on the giraffe's face.

When I see raspberries in your title, my mouth starts to water. Perhaps that is how this gesture got its name. I'd have said, "Same to you, Buddy". He is mighty cute and well positioned in the frame. Good one, Jimbob!

You should have given him your shades JimboB. It looks like the sun is getting to him. Another great shot from the Land of Ooz.

Hey, Jimbob...

To me this is one of your better zoo shots. I believe this is a female giraffe and that is what they do as part of their mating dance. Those Jimbob pheromones definitely are having an effect on the wild life. And let's face it...she is a sweetie and only has eyes for you.

When I use my HD plug-in stuff, I sometimes end up with crazy background blotches like you have in the background foliage. It starts as noise but you can turn it into less noticeable blotches. If I ever take a wildlife shot this good, I would painstakingly isolate the background and blur the heck out of it. The composition is perfect.

Roger

P.S. Keep in mind that giraffes have more than a long neck and a long tongue. I hope you're man enough for the job at hand.
