Jimbob, I love the wide range of colors in this one. See that the tree right of the mill already has lost its leaves, or is it a dead one, lol. Very fine compostion again, mate! Well done.
Jimbob - There is no question about the time of year in this image! Among the composition elements, I like the sweeping roadway curving around the old mill, that line being picked up by the bridge as it crosses the river. Thad
I suspect they get a lot of people taking photos of this place JimboB. However probably not many photographers like yourself. You have circled it like a wolf stalking its prey. Beautiful.
Looks really nice with the colored fall trees. I see that you can go inside. What a wonderful old mill. I'd really love to see it inside and out. I like the dirt road that runs on by too.
Very much enjoy the perspective of your composition. Adds so much interest with the waterway behind, the old structures and turning trees. Picturesque walk back into time.
This shot has "opportunity" written all over it, Jimbob. As a semi-professional hooligan and graffiti artist, that road is perfectly located. Simply fill a balloon with white paint and toss it out the window as you speed passed the mill. Splat! You'd barely have to slow down.
I love the perspective on this shot. And that roof looks even worse the closer you get. Wonderfully composed shot. I wish that the front of the building was facing the other way so that you could have offset this shot without revealing so much of the dirt road. The other side is far more aesthetically pleasing. Dirt roads are a dime a dozen in these parts. Beautiful sky and lovely autumn colors round out an excellent posting.
I love how you have caught the sweep of that dirt road going around the building onto the bridge. It gives it perspective, and the colours of Autumn setting the scene off perfectly. Well done! Ann
I could hang out there for some time Jim. Fine shot of a very fine memory type area. Stirs up the farm boy in me and days of hauling the grain to the mill here.
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
Regards, Cornelius.
