It must have been exciting to be in our Nation's Capitol JimboB. I have never been there. Almost sounds unAmerican. It looks peaceful with all the grafters gone for the holidays. Wonderful presentation.
This brings back great memories Jim. I was stationed there for several years and we dont see enough of our nations capital on here. This is very good and its faved.
I remember it well, Jimbob, for this is the city of my birth. My Dad worked for the naval research lab; so my playground was the Chesapeake Bay and all of the wonderful parks in the city. Back in those days there weren't all those fences and no trespassing signs; so an 8 year old was free to roam and climb statues of people that nobody had ever heard of. Beauty of a shot. I remember it being much colder looking on New Years Day.
This is a very satisfying and well composed capture. The Memorial building particularly stands out well on the sky-line. The sky too is wonderful. Well done! Ann
Visited DC on a student trip when I was in High School. I liked the Jefferson and Lincoln Memorials best. Stood there staring at Lincoln for a good long time. Special time that was. Fine shot here Jim.
Is this the place that I told you I had seen a policeman feeding a huge, rabbit-size squirrel, when I was once [only] in Washington DC ? In any case the view is quite pleasant, even without the squirrel [grey and huge, probably some mutants ...] LOL Yours SAM
