The first thing that struck me was how angular the rocks are for a coastline. They aren't rounded from water erosion. That makes me think they are possibly quartz boulders with iron oxide and white streaks of some kind of mineral deposit (dolomite?). The iron oxide has leached out to form the red sands. I love the power of the waves that is captured in this photo! The image is crisp and the colors are wonderful.
The main colours here brown, & blue compliment each other so well, a lovely clear shoreline scene Jimbob, I especially like the wave splash action you've frozen. (o:
