I have always wanted to get this view of the Marblehead Lighthouse, and since I don't have a boat, I was never able to do it...till now! Walking out on a frozen lake Erie made getting this shot very easy.
In spite of cold feet (lol), your patience has been rewarded Jimbob! Splendid capture. S+F instantly of course. Thanks for the done effort and for sharing this one my friend!

This is outstanding, looks like someone is living there. I have always wanted to see the inside one. This would have been a perfect entry for the shadows contest. Faved this one! tigs=^..^=

All things come to those who wait, JimboB. You got your view and without any spectators cluttering up the scene. I bet you were excited. It is a great shot and I just had to fave it.
So the freezing temps have an advantage afterall...always been a fan of lighthouses...good shot of this one and your handling of the snow color...I keep saying it but here's another which also would have been good for the recent Shadows contest.
Jimbob, the weather really worked in your favor so that you could get this beautiful shot of Marblehead Lighthouse that you always wanted!!! Great capture!!!
Excellent shot with wonderful clarity and lighting Jimbob. The whole scene is brightly lit and looks lovely. I just cannot imagine walking out to the lighthouse like that. Our lake here freezes too but not every winter but when it does and the ice is over 12" thick they hold a festival on the ice with stalls selling snacks and drinks etc.
