This is one of the first pictures I posted on Caedes back in 2007, but I removed it a long time ago. I redid it in Topaz Simplify, which drastically improved it. The shot is a small corner of the veranda of the house of Rutherford B. Hayes, 19th President of the United States. The house is in my home town of Fremont, Ohio.

Jimbob, I can't remember your 2007 version, but this one has a painterly look because of the Topaz treatment.

Thought this chair was kept for you, but as far as I know you aren't a candidate for the next presidential election, lol.

Very good one my friend!

Agree with MrC...the Topaz has added new life to this owd chair!...

I also like the setting too...gives a feeling of 'still life' even though there's none!.........

After your rework the colours look really good. Also the background with the bright green maple leaves looks nice Jimbob. Nicely composed shot Jimbob.

I wasn't on Caedes in 2007 Jim - didn't arrive until 2008 so I'm fortunate to be seeing this for the first time. The Topaz has an interesting effect especially on the background it seems to me. Well done my friend.

This has the look of a great watercolour Jim. You must be very proud to have such a great local celebrity come from your home town.

Poor old Rutherford is pretty much forgotten among our Presidents but Ohio had several. Good shot of the cornerstone of his house JimBob.

I like the "painting" filter you used on this shot, and the compositionvery clean. It reminds me of an Edward Hopper piece, one of my favorite American artists.
