My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Interesting shot. Whatever attracts them it is doing a good job. Every Winter here in Macon, Ga. we have a few weeks where we are over run with gulls. They are all over the store parking lots of the strip malls. They aren't here any other time. Good image.
Good thing you suggested to view this image in full, Jimbob. At first I thought it was just an industrial landscape but then I viewed it in full and saw all those gulls. Amazing!
Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
Goodness! There are 11213 gulls there! Even on full view one has to look a second time to see that. Great shot Jimbob especially with that smoke/steam against the sky.
Does anyone remember Jonathon Livingston? Wow, this really reminds me of the that book - haven't thought of it in years. Great capture JimBob - we would really love more details on this one. As Lyn said, "I wonder what the attraction is for the gulls?" What is that and what are they consuming? An amazing shot, JimBob.
That's quite a shot Jimbob of those seagulls - there's something in that gray matter that they're attracted to perhaps what is being produced by the processing plant - Great Capture!!!!!!!!
Whoa, that's a lot of gulls, so what is the big piles they are resting on & the company. I really like the angle and composition. Hope there isn't a contest on how many there are, lol.
Oh my goodness! I've never seen anything like this! My guess is that pile retains heat? Great image and the blue sky and cloud from the smoke stack is quite something! Terrific image!!
