On the banks of Vickery Creek, ruins of the Roswell Manufacturing Co. Mills can be found. Constructed in 1839 and 1853, these mills were burned by Union forces on July 7, 1864. The 1853 mill was rebuilt after the Civil War and used until destroyed by fire again in 1926.

This is near Atlanta, Georgia.

Great pic Jimbob. I love the detail and colors in the bricks. Looks like a wonderful place for a visit and a photo op.

Jimbob, I see at the bottom right of your image an obstructing stream. Otherwise you would have climbed the tree to to provide us with even a slightly better view of this mill, lol.

In life we can't have it all, so I'm very content with the by you achieved result. Thanks for this fine image mate.

Jimbob - This old mill looks to be well cared for, perhaps repurposed. I like that you framed it with the greenery.

I didn't know that mill was there. I'll have to make a road trip this Fall and check it out. It looks like it's in good condition compared to the mills at Sweetwater Creek and High Falls. Nice shot.

You can see the story in the very old bricks - they don't look the same as modern ones - excellent perspective Jim.
