Jimbob, Connie has hit the nail by its head as they are trumpet vines indeed. The official name is Campsis radicans, but think it's better to forget the latter official name.

Jim, we used to call these Trumpet Honeysuckle, and yes, the hummingbirds do love them. They are so pretty growing into the trees around here. This is a lovely shot - nice lighting and focus.
I call them orange trumpet vines and yes hummers really like them - they just smack of summer to me always have. Love the pop against the dark background.
