Jim, I'm a big fan of the old bridges of days gone by. This is a marvelous image, your touch of editing was perfect, and well composed as well. tigs=^..^=
A covered bridge is an unknown phenomenon in my country as most of our (historical) bridges are draw bridges (imagine a covered draw bridge, lol), so you've captured a pretty rare scene to me. I love it the more that it's captured very well. Very good shot mate!

Looks like a walking path to me--my kind of trail. Plus I've always been a sucker for repetitive lines and those timbers lend themselves very nicely to photography. Inviting image, Jim.

Smile, without a reason why. Love, as if you were a child, Smile, no matter what they tell you Don't listen to a word they say Cause life is beautiful that way. (From the film "Life Is Beautiful")
That's a good capture of that foot bridge Jimbob. There are a few here in Alabama and the one that this resembles is in Blount County. It just really makes me think of the earlier days of these old wooden bridges. It is sad but some of them close to where I live were not restored for historical purposes.
A beautiful covered bridge, JimBob. I like the open sides allowing the walkers to view the creek below. The angle You've chosen for this shot gives the viewer a marvelous view of the entire bridge. Good work.
