They are becoming plentiful. I guess very few people hunt and eat them in today's world and their populations are getting out of hand. I would love to relocated a few from my place if anyone wants them. JimBob, You've captured a cute photo - they always look so innocent sitting like this with their furry tail curled.
That is good to hear - because if he hops on to Ohio you don't want the poor guy getting boycotted by the resident squirrels. Nice and sharp shot and a good one for the b/w challenge Jimbob.

This would be a good one for the challenge, or or the contest. They like to raid the bird feeders here, and I have to admit they are pretty darn acrobatic. tigs=^..^=
Living so close to nature, we have a lot of squirrels around, and they are a bloody nuisance! I would have to go a few longs days before I would see them as a food source being they are so gamey. I realise that last comment sounded like something Dunsticken would write. Just kidding. :)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
