This was taken earlier this month at the Olana State Historical site in Hudson N.Y. It was a bitterly cold day. I had alot of trouble snapping the shudder because my hands were so cold. I spent a good portion of the time that I was there stepping around Deer droppings. If you look you can see some deer tracks at the bottom of the Photo.

This one give me the feeling that there is something lurking on the other side of the hill. Great shot with all those tree branches hanging down. Eerie and moody, like Marzena said.

Jim, I think "So Cold. So Eerie, So Much Deer Poo!" was well worth your effort. It is exceptional. You have captured a transcendental air about the shot with wonderful color and light.

~ Stunning capture! It certainly conveys the feeling of how cold it was too. The lighting and mood of the image really catches your eye.

The sky is just such a great color for backdrop on this lovely winter composition. I see the tracks and it looks like the sky might be lighter to the right with the sun trying to break through perhaps. I am not surprised to hear that there are many deer around there either.

...and here was me thinking you were talking about Poo the Bear! lol!

..I like this Jim - the snow is bright, yet you can feel the chill in the air with the dark misty background! nice image!

I can't fault the deer. I think I'd hang out here too. It is indeed eerie; you captured it so well. Beautiful viewed large!
