This is a tribute to my Dad who we lost this past November at the age of 79. He was a proud Marine who would have donned his dress blues and perticapated in every Memorial Day parade he could this weekend. Semper Fi. God bless the Men and woman of our armed forces, And God bless America.

Great tribute to your Dad. I like the angle of the shot, and the canon in there.

Jim, Very moving tribute for your dad. You have done an excellent job and one to be proud of. I support our men and women in the military 100%.
Without them we would not be the country we are, I'm sure of that. I'm proud of them and I'm proud to be an American.

I`m not American but always find the sort of images very moving. Men and women giving their lives for the freedom of others deserve the utmost recognition for their sacrifice. A very beautiful tribute.

Just a great shot and a awesome tribute to your father. The flags looks so cool with the portion of the canon standing guard. A really beautiful and touching post Jim.

Dear Jim,

I hope you don't mind, as I am repeating my words here, the words I placed on Russ's and Mark's postings of their heroic fathers, as they best describe the way I feel. "What wonderful, handsome, and distinguished looking men they must have been! Your enduring tribute to him has allowed yourself and many people around the world, to thank him in unison for a job well done! The legacy he left behind, together, with those mentioned here, will benefit us forever in our hearts and in our minds! The words 'Thank You', will musically sing in ours souls until the end of time! For all those who have their own 'Personal Hero's, as did Russ... Mark...and now you Jim, are blessed indeed! I am so terribly sorry to hear about the passing of your brave and devoted marine father!

Jim...I think that your tribute here is lovely...and I know very well...that your father would have been proud of you! I send my best wishes your way Jim!
