Oh no, don't say you are leaving ... I just returned about a week ago. I will surely miss you & your creative & amazing work, Joanie ... but I do understand the burned out part. Somedays I can't even keep up with my own dog / puppy website ... things can be rather overwhelming when it pertains to the things we love to do the most. Hope you pop in once in awhile even if it's just to say hello. Wishing you all the best. I plan to take a look at your gallery ... what I missed in 2012 while I was away.

Queen of fractals, I'm sorry to hear that you are leaving Caedes, but I understand that you have your reasons. I have not personally been active the last few years, work, etc.
But I tend to look at your pictures when time permitted. But I will miss your fractals. Have a good one, hope to see.

Wherever your images appear, Joanie, they are certain to awe the viewers as they do here at Caedes. I'd say good luck but you really don't need it. It is hard to see the old pros (not "old" in years but in commitment to the site) leaving. Members like you and the Owd Dude are like leaves on a diamond tree... once they fall they are not naturally replaced. There will always be an empty spot here, whether you leave a gallery behind or not. I wish you well.

As to this image, the title is very appropriate in two ways; it does indeed look like the inside of a jewel (it's also reminiscent of a fresnel lens in a lighthouse) and it's symbolic of the way you've shared your work with us, your jewels, as they were.
