New Years Eve is fast approaching! This piece might look like we're having a party, but we really aren't...lol...We're just a stay at home couple who don't drink....or smoke anymore! Its been a little over 2 weeks now since I quit smoking and am doing well with it. I encourage anyone who smokes to stop cause how you feel afterward is amazing!!! Even after only 2 weeks! I'm hoping to become a regular back here or at least more frequent now that I'm getting used to be a non smoker. I used to take breaks from the computer and have a smoke, but now I found better things to do :-) Happy New Year my friends and thanks a bunch for the views and comments!!! And your support :-)

Joanie dearest,
I am producing my hand all the way across the ocean to shake it with you. I quit smoking 11 years ago and drinks - completely on 1 Jan 2013. So this New Year's Eve will be beautifully sober, free of smoke [that I simply hate these days !] and hopefully we can stand all the noise [particularly co-agent Boris who has grown a terrible crybaby over the years ...]
We, devout propagators of healthy lifestyle, should stick together. HOWGH.
Happy New Year dear friend.

I'm not a smoker Joanie but have been around them my whole life so I understand what you went through - can't drink much either due to medications but was never much of a drinker either. My current addiction is my husband's home brewed ice tea - all real English tea bags - yummy. This looks a bit like how one may feel after the party - bent out of shape - enjoy a happier and healthier New Year!

Congrats on the huge achievement Joanie and I know two weeks will become two months and that will become two years and then there will be a time when you do not even remember when it was that you quit.

Happy New Year! ~~ John

This made my eyes pop Lady..I've just got out of bed..Good creation..Time now to totally forget you ever were a smoker..My trick was any time I fancied a ciggie,I told myself I was a non smoker and the craving just went..If I was still a smoker now it would be costing me £50 a week...That's around $60..Have a nice holiday with the money....R.

Well you certainly deserve to celebrate! 2 weeks is a grand accomplishment, one I myself haven't met. I did quit drinking though. I haven't stayed up till midnight in quite some years. A wonderful New Year to you Joanie!
