What the heck am I looking at? It could be a satellite view of Saturn, or it could be a view from a beach. Regardless the colors are rich but unnatural - which is what gives the photo that eerie feeling. Excellent job of creating a mood.
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
Kepo - let me start by complaining: the image size is too small. I think an image of this quality deserves a grander space, so next time a larger size please! The detail is realistic and the overall image has a 3D appearance. Good job. I do not like the orange tint at the horizon, it just dos not look real. Overall an exceptional rendering, better than what I could do. Do more please!
While trying to create good pictures, I feel as if I am standing on the edge of Insanity. There is a door. I found myself knocking on the door. The door opened.. . . I was knocking from the inside. Oh Rats!
I've been trying to find a spot in this image that looks obviously CG... but I can't find any. Many samples of this type of work look like exercises in the genre, experiments, if you will. This one does not. The thumbnail looked like a photo in Nepal or Tibet so it drew me further. The only thing that might identify it as computer-generated is that it is a bit sharper than most photographs. Also, the file is rather small (I'll have to go look at your gallery to see if you're submitting larger ones now). Otherwise, you've done a marvelous job. Sorry for the late response, nearly 2-1/2 years after submission, but I think it's about the best CG I've seen on Caedes.
