This is a view from the top of a building that I took a couple years ago, of Beijing. This is on the fringes of Beijing, no where near downtown and yet it's still prett crowded. Don't let the fact that there's not many cars on the road fool you, this is extremely rare. Beijing is just huge.

Very interesting image !!! What made me wonder was the lack of bicycles [there were supposed to be some 9 million of them in Beijing LOL] and the strange buildings ..
Very good image that brings lots of information and besides the lighting here is very nice too.
Altogether very high marks and congratulations. Thank you so much for sharing.

Nice shot, Ian. Is that a light fog, or is it industrial smog?
I like the soft effect it gives, in any event.
Was just curious, as they use so much coal throughout China.I also like that semi circular object at the very bottom. It tends to make you think of a panorama, set out before you, which it is, in a way.

Unfortunately, it is industrial smog. It's not very healthy, but it does make me feel at home whenever I'm back in Beijing since I grew so acustomed to it. The circular object at the bottom is actually a lower roof level of the building I'm standing on.
