I like the concept and angle of your perspective. The lines and reflections draw interest. I do wonder what it would do to crop the top of the pier more.

I think if I were to crop this, I would lop off the right side, as the lily pads are what draw my interest.

& I would leave it as is :o) the top of the pier helps the composition by taking your eye out to the end of the pier. By cropping the right you'd lose the composition & patterns made by the cross bar supports. the lily pads add just a little colour.
