The red telephone box, a public telephone kiosk designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, was a once familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom. It has all but disappeared in recent years, replaced by a number of different designs. The few kiosks that remain have not been replaced because they are regarded as being of special architectural and historical interest. The first standard public telephone kiosk introduced by the United Kingdom Post Office was produced by Somerville & Company in 1920

Thank you for giving us some much informational background on your image. You have really chosen a nice view and angle to take this picture. It almost looks a bit surreal, like there was this telephone kiosk standing in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by some trees and bushes. I really like your picturte, very well balanced and such an unique composition. The only thing which is disturbing me a tiny little bit is the black foundation, I wished you had copied some grass from the left to cover this.
But nevertheless a very nice picture and good work from you.

Hah !! .. this looks like a museum diorama .. showing future generations the quaintness of merry olde England from the Jack the Ripper days .... try to reshoot when a college fraternity decides to cram 30 people inside

If you're in the mood for critique .. perhaps a different composition would yield more drama

I love these...it is a shame they are dying out. I hope they at least do keep a special few around. A great capture with wonderful surrounds. Well done.
