Ooooerr! me first Eh!...this is very good Mick, the colours you have managed to capture in this image are many, and the overall effect gives a terrific composition...just a simple everyday place...and WOW..take a shot and look what turns up!...I do this kind of thing quite regular Mick....just park the car in a side lane a venture out into the 'WILDS'....top marks from me I'm afraid!..........Bob
What a great image....lovely colours and beautiful light....the way the shadows of the fence follow the road makes for a super composition....well done.
Gorgeous, Mick...the colors, lighting, shadows, and charming scenery all make this a real beauty to view...excellent work...I'll enjoy this one on my desktop today.:Pat.
Usually I am a generous person but I get more and more envious when I watch your pictures. How does it come that YOU get all the sun and we are happy to see her at least for a minute, eh.. ??? Great picture from you, wonderful colors and a magnificent lighting. The shadows on the road and the house in the background are another proof for your great eye through the camera. Thanks my friend for sharing this, seems you're a generous person too ;-))
Gorgeous image composition and color. It really evokes a feeling. I think that it is a little bit too sharp though. This would be an amazing image if it was a little softer. Good SHOT!
very nice scene, and perfectly captured. just 1 technical complaint, and some personal opinion. first of all this is way oversharpened. its a peaceful scene with nice shadows but the oversharpness of it distracts from it. and personally....i would have cropped a chunk off of the top and put boarders on it. i find people on this site generally dont mind horizontal boarders, and the top branches distract from the road, and breaks the rule of thirds (if that actually matters for anything)
This is so pretty. I love the colors and the perspective and the way you can see that house off in the distance. Its far enough away that it doesn't take away from the natural beauty.
Your shots have a wonderful warmth to them, Mick, not to mention your knack for getting pespectives that make the viewer feel like they're right there in the picture. This is beautiful! Wen
What a perfect scene! I love the shadows of the trees falling across the road. Beautiful colors, very clear photo,,,absolutely wonderful! Doesn't it make you want to keep walking and see more???
Ohhhhhhh.... I just love this, Mick! The composition is so perfect, it's hard to believe the scene is real and not a painting. Straight onto my desktop and definitely a KF (keep forever!). Wonderful - especially the shadows of the unseen trees adding to the fence shadows.
Mick this is stunning,, and it looks so like a place I go to for some me time. When I saw the thumb nail I thought it was a pic of my woods. A lovely shot my friend.
Les teintes ambrées qui se dégagent de cette photo sont exceptionnelles...La composition en générale est superbe..Merci de partager avec nous votre talent à capter de telles scènes.
This has got to be a lane for only bipeds, bikes, and carriages? Can't imagine a polluting auto ruining such a setting. Gnarled old trees and a backdrop that makes my eyes water. Wonderful. The fence adds a lot to the scene.
It is now 3/1/08 - I keep coming back.
What a wonderful shot, Mick. Part of its beauty lies in the commonplace which is often overlooked. How the light and shadows transform an entire scene. Well done.
Great shot of a small little country road...i love the fence on the curve of the road and of course, the colors are perfect. I wonder who lives in that huge house in the distance!?
Of course, I knew and remembered well this image ! Just wanted to come and take a look at the comments from all the old friends - some gone - one way or the other. Mick dear, Your images are universally beautiful - they are like wine - getting better with time even !!! SAM [five years older than that] hmmm.... LOL
On second thoughts - your new images are better, after all. That proves that you never stop developing your skills and sensitivity. You are a great artist, Mick. HOWGH SAM again LOL
