The great granite crag of St Michael's Mount Cornwall is dedicated to the archangel St Michael who, according to legend, appeared here in 495.....St Michael's Mount is an island at high tide and a romantic sight. From its terraces splendid views can be seen towards Land's End and the Lizard The slopes have sub-tropical vegetation planted by the St Aubyn family. At the water's edge there is a small harbourside community with shops and restaurants.

Wow! I love how you caught the green on the rocks in the foreground, the large ship on the right, the amazing St. Michael's Mount, and most of all, the incredible colors in the clouds. Wonderful!

Very dramatic capture, superb composition and lighting.
Is this the place where the postman tried to take his van across the sand and got stuck?

Hi Mick, my this is lovely, so beautiful, and so interesting, I decided to do a little reasearch and found it to be fascinating! Just think, all that glorious history on top of Mt Cornwall! I learned that it has a 500 yd long granite causeway connecting it to the mainland! Mick, I like Paul, feel in many cases, your images appear to be hand painted photographs!! What a wonderful concept! I wish Mick, that someday you would gather most of your images and place them in a beautiful cover, and wrap that compilation in an image of yours! Now your history in the form of a journal might be called, "My Photographic History of England"! You know Mick, you have already photographed some wonderful high lights of your grand land! After this, you could grant the historic works to me, smiling! I would be your first book signing, OK?! Sound silly, not impossible! I am serious Mick, not kidding for once, Sincerely, Marilyn

Beautiful. What a nice image. I like the touch of rainbow shades in the sky, it adds to the majesty of the dreamlike image of Saint Mic's. Great work. You are lucky to live near Cornwall (assuming), what a wonderful part of the world. I have been desperatly floating on an island called North America (maybe you've heard of it), wanting to be soaking up the history in such places as St. Michaels, and the U.K. in general. Thanx for sharing!!

Ohhh, I like this. It is an unusual view with the tide out like that. There is so much showing that is interesting to look at. Lots of texture in this composition. And the sky is superbly rendered. The entire composition has no bright colors yet is pleasant to view. Goooooooooooood capture.
