The river is called the Dee and this part of the river is upstream of Braemar, Scotland.....The scenary is often magnificant and the character of the river is as nice as you will find anywhere, hardly surprising that this is one of worlds greatest salmon rivers.....Please enjoy.

Hello Mick, this is truly a musical geographical theme here, and oh soooooooooo beautiful!! The image stands apart from many, because of the gorgeous hues of browns, purples, and those of pink, all so congruent, so compatibly and harmoniously lovely! What a beautiful scene. Are you sure you did not do manipulation on this one as the river, mountains, sky and grass are so well matched. You found a good spot to cover all parts of the photo with interesting objects. Traveling helps find the beautiful spots the locals often miss. Good posting.

I find this photograph nicely this way. A complete particular irradiation has the photograph. Have seen you, however, once that the salmons the river on to swim?
