This picture was taken high up in the Cairngorms in Scotland late one evening.....The Cairngorms take in some of the most spectacular landscapes in Britain, from the wild high mountain tops to the seclusion of the granite gorge that you see in this picture....Please enjoy.

Sometimes you trust someone who turns out not to be honest. There are a lot of things that happen in life that don't turn out the way you're given the impression that they will. And I think that's all kind of a con. But I think we've probably all been hurt. Sigourney Weaver

This is a lovely post with great depth and composition. It's almost surreal with the darkness below the beautiful lighter sky. Very well done and thanks for sharing it.

POW as in Powerful, Mick!! I actually gasped when I saw this at full resolution - looks exactly like something Constable would have painted if he'd been around today. Excellent composition as always, and the quality of light you've captured is really enchanting.

Oh Lawdy, I love the lighting in this. You are an expert at that. This is marvelous and a keeper. I love the moodyness of it and the mysterious atmosphere. Superb in every respect.

Hi Mick, I am, once again, enraptured by your image! I am always impressed, but this one is supreme in it's beauty, in it's entirety! The formations of this plutomic rock, which is gray to pink in color, must have been hard to imagine without seeing it! The granite gorge, is further speckled with the gorgeous green of the lovely mountainous trees and least, but never last, is flavored with the ravishing and irrisistible colors of the sky! I am presently wondering if the sky may be reflecting the sometimes pink granite, do you suppose Mick? Just guessing! I need a thesaurous to describe further my visual enjoyment! My mental capture of your image is a pleasure indeed! You did a great job of photography Mick! Sincerely, Marilyn

There is a touch of Old Masters Landscape in this! I presume this is a result of enhancement. However, it is a magnifcent photo, taken in a great location!
