I captured this scene on the outskirts of the Cairngorms, Scotland... The hustle & bustle of city life makes way for relaxed pleasure.... Traffic noise & pollution are replaced with gentle walks and fresh country air....Please enjoy.

yes you are absolutely right Mick! I visited Scotland for the first time this year and was in love with the countryside there! A very beautiful capture done in your own style. I love the deep colours that you inject into your images!

Wonderful colours and it does indeed give an air of tranquility.
The hills are reminiscent of the countryside that surrounds me where I live. We dont have much heather though :)But we do have a Burns Society - the early settlers in this region were largely from Scotland and they named Dunedin in honour of that.
Back to your pictue :) It is in my favourites, I love it.

It looks like a fantasy place where no worries could exist and no problems would last...excellent composition and it has a lot of dramatic impact for all its soft presentation.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Tranquility is a nice name. Like most of your shots, they give a feeling like you, mick, are the only one there

I'm 18 and don't travel much. But I tend to bring my camera around just to catch what sticks out from my everyday goings. *~* Gallery *~*

This is great. Excellent lighting. You must have patience, lol. Coincidentally I posted a pic a couple of days ago also with the Cairngorms in it, albeit a bit further away. Nice one. In my favourites.
