I watched and waited as the sun slowly dipped below the hills, observing the changing pattern of light and shadow…..when the green fields were spotlighted by a narrow shaft of sunlight coming through the clouds I then photographed the scene….I was pleased with the clouds as they throw the foreground into deep shadow, anchoring the image….Photographed in Scotland….Please enjoy.

What a gorgeous photo. I wish I had the time to enjoy the sunsets out here - but with the time change it's dark before I even get out of the office. Hope you enjoyed it enough for 2. And thanks for sharing such a wonderful piece of art.

They say patience is a virtue. If that is the case then you are a virtuoso. What a magnificient photo. I bet you're a great chess player. If it would have been me, I would have been shooting all the time and when the perfect moment arrived, my memory card would have been full. Not mine actually, the one in the camera. Such a pleasant experience for the eyes you have composed with this one. Just great, Mick.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
