This picture was taken near a small fishing village called Coverack,Cornwall....Battered incessantly by the sea is this precipitous cove cut deeply and jaggedly into the dark serpentine rock.....Please enjoy.
My comments are always made from the heart with honesty and the utmost respect for the artist whose work I am commenting on. If I make suggestions, I wish them to only be taken in the sense that I want to be helpful and not harmful in any way. If I praise your work, I mean every word.
Wow, Mick, this is wonderfully dramatic shot. I love those Payne's Gray thunderhead clouds and the bright patch of Burnt Sienna on the far cliff. Powerful image, like something from a doomsday movie.
I really like it Mick. I always look forward to your posts because I know they will be just like this. Perfect lighting and composition. Great contrast in this one. Like the looks of the waves lopping up against the rocks. I know that sounds redneckish but I can't help it. lol. Great photo Mick. I'm still waiting for photo of golf course.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

A wonderful capture!
Fine detail, colours and lighting here...and it reminds me of my last holiday to Cornwall :)
I love their hidden beaches with all the rocks to explore.
Fascinating lighting in this shot, Mick, presumably due to the oncoming storm clouds. I hope you didn't get drenched producing such a marvellous image!
I much appreciate all the comments I receive about my images, but please excuse me if I don't always reply. My interest in Caedes is exceeding my time available!
This is a great study in texture and detail Mick. The water, the rocks, and the clouds depicted here give us great opportunity. ;) Your colors are very vibrant and give the image life. The depth is good too as I feel as though I am standing on the precipice of the rock watching the thunderheads rolling into the shore. The viewer is drawn into this image by your spot on composition.
Many thanks for sharing this with me. To my favorites it goes. ;=)
Hey Mick! Another outstanding view in this one...I really like how the clouds are almost a mirror image of the shape of the cliffs on the left and with the rocks in the foreground, there is incredible depth to the shot...thanks for sharing!!
Great shot Mick,So good i downloaded it ran it through a HDR Program and it's improved the detail in the sky no end on the desktop now..Really nice cheers Richie..All the best.
What a desktop this makes Mick. The clouds - the water - and especially your capture of the perfect light bringing out the colors on the far side cliff. I might have been tempted to remove the gull droppings from the boulder, but that's a very minor personal preference. It's a grand capture my friend with professional perspective. Top notch photography.
I must say at first glance...this is my favorite of all your images...and will enter my 'house of favorites' with pride...seriously...this photo speaks to professionalism...perfection...quality in artistry...to mention only a few of it's attributes...
I learned a little about Serpentine rock today before writing my comment... and learned that this type of rock is sometimes 'apple green' to 'black'... which I see here Mick...mottled with light and dark areas....of which I am sure you would know so much....more about than me...
But I found this interesting...Your photo here...aside from all of it's merits...makes me think of things like 'The Normandy Invasion'...but without a beach.....my oh my...I do love this image....
The colors and your enhancement of them... are simply superior to those of many....you bring even black rock to life...what a scenic view of an outstanding coastline....
Along with your many outstanding skills as a photographer...I just shutter to think of myself ever attaining such status....Lol! :o)
Mick you are remarkable in what you do....just look at the unusual high C-index....I know that we should pay little or no attention to this....but one...nevertheless....can't help but notice...with a photo like this...
This is a gorgeous image Mick - how much searching did it take before you found such a brilliant arrangement of triangles, and all pointing in the right direction! I was at Coverack a couple of years ago for a friend's 40th birthday, it's a beautiful part of the world and you really did it justice with this one.
Thanks to all my friends for the wonderful images I get to look at and learn from on Caedes every day. I always have something to say about them, but don't always have the time to record it. Please forgive me if I can't comment on all of your uploads.
