"The quality of a persons life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence regardless to their chosen field of endeavor."
Vince Lombardi
The hiker looks long and lean like Jimmy Stewart. What great silhouettes these make. The early morning light is great. Good eye to see this. Excellent clarity and composition as usual. Good post Mick.
"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
This should be no problem to assume that the pic was taken in the early afternoon or evening, and then it could be me [after slimming diet LOL] and Boo boo too !!!! LOL
Fantastic image both in form and meaning ... Thanks so much, dear Mick.
In reviewing your galleries this evening...I was undecided which of your lovely photos I would choose to comment on...and the choice was very difficult...my friend... as they are all so outstanding ...in their beauty and quality...all very exceptional..indeed...soooooooo
This was my choice...and oh my...there are so many wonderful and interesting things about a man and his dog...that I might talk or write about...I will mention a few.....so let me begin...by saying...that no where on earth...can we find a more satisfying..enriching..or warmer relationship in existance.. than that which involves a man and his dog...
Those proverbial words almost always used when we think of the two...those words....'unconditional love'...There just isn't anything quite like it....I speak from experience...(I once owned a remarkable 'shepard'...a neighborhood mascot)...I had her for sixteen yrs...and when we were together...no words were ever needed..but connections were made, thoughts were understood...a little mental telepathic transmission perhaps...( I am not a neurologist)..Lol.....and instantly...we knew what each other meant..what eachother was thinking...with as little as a mere glance.... sent in either direction...
Then of course...there are the wondrous animals that provide services for the blind..for otherwise handicapped people...sevices that go far beyond the companionship that exists..between a man an his dog...
Such beautiful thoughts are racing through my mind presently...but I think that I have already taken up too much of your time and space...
About your most beautiful photo here Mick...it suggests to me...the setting...the time of day...and a 'man and his dog'...that 'again'...this kind of togetherness..well...no where on earth is there an equal....fine photography Mick...fine photography....my friend...
