A different time/angle...This old bridge spans the River Dee near Braemar, Scotland.... Originally built for military access it now provides the inspiration for many paintings and photographs.... Many visitors take advantage of quiet walks along the banks of the river amid a scene of exquisite beauty...Pleases enjoy

Mick, this is just absolutely lovely. Makes me wish I could come and live there for several years. Just photographing and photographing.

Lovely composition, Mick, especially that intriguing mix of pastel and stormy sky.
I find your image is a little dark on my screen, so have applied Fill Flash and also straightened the central buttress of the bridge, both of which in my opinion, have made this appealing scene even more appealing.

The greens are something else in this Mick, even the moss in the brickwork on the bridge stands out. I think Anne-Marie's right about the straightening and there's a touch of colour noise in the foreground, but it's nothing given that the composition, viewpoint (I have an image of you hunting around for the right spot for ages) and colour combinations are just outstanding.

What a great image. I love the darker tones. It's what I wuld expect with the sky like that. The bridge looks great and that little red building peeking out from behind the trees is intriguing. Perfect framing and foreground coloring. Another good one Mick.

My apologies Mick, I meant to comment sooner. the focus on this shot is tremendous, and the colors on the bridge are so subtle, yet add so much to the picture. Bravo!

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
Reminds me of the kind of adventures I used to dream of taking when I was younger! I love it. Again the colors and contrast are fantastic as always.
