The most obvious differences among Scottish hills and those of other countries are those of form and colour, which even the most untrained eye cannot fail to notice.Apart from the varied and ever-changing hues due to atmospheric causes, there are the extraordinarily rich tones given by the heather, bracken, and deer grass....Please enjoy.

No wonder they invented golf. With an outdoors like this, where else would one want to learn the game. Faved this example of your great patience.

A superb image Mick - faved.
There are parts of NZ's South Island which have very similar landscapes - maybe a reason there were so many Scottish early settlers :) With names here like Aviemore, Ben Dhu and Ben Nevis to name a few, a Scotsman would never be homesick !

Hi MIck...methinx I NEED to come visit over there. How beautiful it is! This photo is magnificent. I had not seen it before it came on the main page here. There is something so soft and inviting when the clouds caress the mountains and hills in this way. Here in ORegon it happens a lot too. You've just got such an awesome photo here. What a great place. Verena
